Laurie Kessler, MS, LADC is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor for CHI St. Francis in Breckenridge, MN. Laurie received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN. She completed a one year chemical dependency counselor practicum at the Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center in Fergus Falls, MN. She received her Master’s degree in Public and Human Service Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN. Laurie’s work experience has included working as a LADC and a LADC Supervisor in the public and private sectors in both residential treatment and outpatient treatment settings, working with adolescent and adult clients. She owned an outpatient treatment facility for substance use disorders in Fargo, ND for 4 years. She served as a license reviewer consultant for the North Dakota Department of Human Services Behavioral Health Division. She has served as a treatment director for a residential treatment facility where she developed the treatment program. Most recently, she has worked in the Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment setting.
Laurie is married and has three adult sons, a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter. Her hobbies include reading and studying the Bible, horseback riding, walks, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with family.
